Enrolment for your National Certificates

When you start work with your first host employer you also then enrol at either Unitec or CPIT  for  your National Certificates in Plumbing and Gasfitting or your National Certificate in Drainlaying.

The plumbing and gasfitting programme involves correpondence study as well as attendance at a series of 2 week full time block courses, including nightclasses on Monday to Thursday nights, over the next 3 to 4 years.

The drainlaying programme involves correspondence study over a 12 month period followed by a 4 day practical assessment.

Note: From 1 November 2005 all Trust apprentices pay their own enrolment fees. Trust apprentices are eligible to take out a Student Loan if they wish to do so to pay for these.
