New Eligibility Criteria for Licensed Level Exams

At its recent meeting, the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board reviewed and changed the eligibility criteria to sit licensed level registration exams.

From now, candidates can apply to sit their licensed level exams at any stage of their National Certificate, as long as their enrolment is current. The other eligibility criteria to sit examinations remains unchanged.

The Board recommends that candidates attempt the exam towards the end of, or after completing, their National Certificate. This gives candidates the best chance of achieving a pass mark on their first attempt.

Please bear in mind that passing the exams and becoming a registered tradesperson are different and separate processes.
