Apprenticeship Training Trust celebrates our 30th anniversary

2021 is a landmark year for us as we celebrate our 30th anniversary.

We have come a long way since 1991 and we are looking for some of our original apprentices as we’d love to touch base with them and hear their stories after graduating with us. We are proud to have supported the industry and encouraged thousands of apprenticeships. Our record of qualification completions, apprenticeship support and mentoring as well as industry knowledge is second-to-none.

Roger Gower, ATT Chairman, said “on behalf of the Board of Trustees it gives me great pleasure to congratulate the Apprenticeship Training Trust on this milestone. From the crystallisation of a plan in 1991 to provide a pathway for apprentices, to now where ATT is a nation-wide provider with dedicated staff in every corner of New Zealand, it has been a great journey. Importantly that journey continues and we are focused more than ever on our purpose, ready to put another 30 years on the clock.”

David Williams, National Sales Manager, added “our people are the heart and soul of ATT. We are all here to support apprentices and hosts to create great tradies. Over the years, there have been ups and downs, with Covid-19 top-of-mind right now, but we work well together to harness both the challenges and the opportunities.”

Apprenticeship Training Trust (ATT) is a charitable trust and is the largest employer of plumbing apprentices in the country, working in partnership with around 200 host businesses in the electrical, plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying trades. We work closely with valued partners to help apprentices become highly skilled and qualified tradies.

2021 is a great year to seize the opportunity if you are looking at taking on an apprentice or becoming an apprentice. With strong government support, no-fees at tertiary courses, and ATT backing you every step of the way, the timing could not be better.

Our managed apprenticeship scheme recruits, employs and places apprentices into host businesses with the aim of providing trade training opportunities for Kiwis and delivering quality tradespeople to the construction industry. Find out more click here or click here to contact us.
